Rank In Order of Importance: Car Dashboard

Dashboard 02

I thought that it might be a good exercise for me to list the order of importance of items on the Car Dashboard.

First off, I have to start by identifying the various pieces of kit one might usually find on a Car Dashboard and then start to put them into some kind of order. There aren’t too many on there but here goes…

Dashboard 01
  1. Low Fuel Warning Light
  2. Speed-o-meter
  3. Oil Light
  4. Temperature
  5. Fuel Guage
  6. Rev Counter
  7. Hand Brake Light
  8. Clock

I don’t really rate the clocks in cars. Rev counters aren’t really needed unless you’re deaf, but then you shouldn’t really be driving! Fuel guages are over-rated too, as with temperature and oil warning systems. The only thing you really need is a low fuel warning light and a speed-o-meter!
