A Circular Object For A Square Hole

Posted on Friday 31 March 2006

Recently I had my eyes tested and found out that I need glasses. So i chose two nice neat pairs and shelled out for the privilidge. I was sent away from the store without a single instruction on glasses / lens care or use and although it’s not too hard to guess where to put them it would be nice for some reassurance of how to clean them.

Glasses Case

The glasses cases they sent me away with are great, slidy boxes with a strong shell and one of the cleaning cloths inside. But the cloth is larger than the rectangular box it has to go inside. No matter how hard i try, or how far outside the box i think I cannot think up why the cloth should be larger than the box by only a few, difficult, centimeters or even what posessed the creator to do such a mean thing.

Why not simply make the glasses cleaning cloth the same width as the inside of the box, and make it square. It would be so much easier to fold and so much less annoying.

Come on Specsavers, get with it!
